47 OFWs undergo entrepreneurial seminar in Bislig City

LGUs can provide assistance to their citizens as a way of showing support to them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bislig City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI), in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Go Negosyo Center, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) spearheaded the entrepreneurial seminar to 47 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The seminar was aimed to provide a livelihood intervention program for returning OFWs who have been affected by the current global crisis, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Every returning OFW is encouraged to group themselves at a minimum requirement of 15, and a maximum of 30 members to avail of the OWWA's Livelihood Program.

The role of the BCCI is to assist them in preparing their business plan proposal as well as to guide them go through their business projects with business analysis and forecasting.
