LGU COVID-19 Plans

Balik Passi Program

LGUs can assist their OFW and non-OFW citizens in returning to their area.

Repatriated Passinhon Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and stranded non-OFWs in different provinces and cities will soon be back in Passi as the City Government launched its Balik Passi Program on 12 May 2020.

The program aims to assist returning Passinhon OFWs and non-OFWs who were not able to return to the city before the implementation of travel restrictions.

Under the program, OFWs will be sent home by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) while non-OFWs will need to go home at their own expense.

The role of the LGU will come in once these OFWs and non-OFWs arrive in seaports, airports, terminals, or boundaries of the Provinces of Aklan, Capiz, or Antique.

The city government has created response teams that will be in-charge of picking up these individuals and bringing them home to Passi City.
