Camiguin beefs up protection vs COVID-19 via CleanCamiguinQR

LGUs can use their resources to develop mechanisms that will make contact tracing easier for their team.

To further safeguard residents and visitors, and avoid transmission of coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 in the province, Camiguin launched the CleanCamiguinQR (Quick Response).

CleanCamiguinQR is the official unified contact tracing and monitoring system in the Province of Camiguin to keep citizens and tourists safe and healthy.

All residents of the island regardless of age will need to register and secure their own QR code so they can enter establishments, offices, institutions, and even churches starting March 15.

To register, one will just need an active email address and phone number. One may also use his or her email and phone number to register other members of the family.  A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the user to complete the registration.

One must also secure his or her latest photo along with a valid identification card.

The system is completely secured in compliance to data privacy act and only trusted personnel can access the data.

Those who do not have smartphones may register through their respective local government units (LGUs). QR codes may be printed or saved in the phone gallery so the user can just easily scan the code with his or her details to enter an establishment or office.
