Marikina Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory

This is a collaborative effort between Marikina LGU and Manila HealthTek in establishing a biotechnological center with Department of Health Standards. Marikina health workers were trained to use equipment and proper handling of them. The laboratory is able to process 400- 500 tests a day and results can be released in two hours using their Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The medical personnel were from DOH, Amang Rizal Memorial Medical Center and NCRPO.
