LGUs can establish testing laboratories to help ramp up testing in their area.
Overview
The Zamboanga City Medical Center-DA satellite RT-PCR testing laboratory is now operational and will be ramping up testing for both Zamboanga City and other neighboring areas in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
The satellite testing laboratory is intended for expanded testing which caters to ALL individuals whether symptomatic or asymptomatic.
The tests themselves are free of charge but will be processed by the Regional Epidemiology & Surveillance Unit. No guidelines yet for walk-in tests.
The laboratory will be able to run at least 160 tests per day with its result available in a few hours.
