LGUs can implement disinfection days to prevent the virus from spreading in their respective communities.
Overview
Every Sunday of every week was observed as Disinfection day. All travels coming in, out, or within the municipality, except for emergencies, are prohibited on the said day. In addition, all establishments were directed to close during Sundays, with an exception on establishments that provide health services and other immediate/emergency commodities. Also, residents are highly encouraged to clean their own premises during Sundays. The Disinfection Day is facilitated by Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Bureau of Fire and Municipal Health Office.
