LGUs can now procure medical supplies and equipment through PS-DBM to combat COVID-19.
Overview
In an effort to curb the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country, the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) informs local government units (LGUs) that COVID-19 response items are now available for procurement.
Among the items now included in the updated list of Common-use Supplies and Equipment (CSE), by virtue of a Government Procurement Policy Board resolution, are medical grade protective coveralls, surgical masks, gloves, goggles, N95/KN95 masks, face shields, surgical gowns, tissue, disposable head and shoe covers, alcohol, disinfectant spray, and thermoguns among others. Common medicines will soon be made available, too. Other supplies such as mops, mop buckets, and garbage bags can also be ordered to maintain cleanliness of offices and facilities and prevent further spread of the virus.
All items comply with the Department of Trade and Industry-Bureau of Product Standards and Department of Health's prescribed specifications. To view available COVID-19 response items, visit this link. For the detailed procedure on how to order, click here.
