Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought difficulty to the livelihood of people working in live events in the city where most talents are members of the LGBT community.
The strict imposition of social distancing has prohibited the conduct of live events and social gatherings. Hence, this has greatly affected the only source of income of the particular sector.
Iloilo City has allotted PhP 500,000 cash assistance to 250 beneficiaries from the LGBT community in the city.
To avail of the city government’s cash assistance program, a member has to coordinate with the LGBT Affairs Office of the LGU.
