Navotas sends aid to typhoon-devastated Mabini, Batangas

LGUs can help one another during calamities especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Navotas City Government has extended assistance to Mabini, Batangas that was badly-hit by typhoons Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses, recently.

Navotas provided 100 sacks of rice in 50-kilo packaging to the municipality amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Though our city is still grappling with the effects of the pandemic, we still fare better compared to others. For this, we are thankful and we want to help those in need as much as we can,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

Mabini, Batangas has an estimated population of 100,000.

Earlier, Navotas sent food packs containing rice, canned goods, instant coffee, instant noodles, and bottled water; mats and blankets, and other items to Cagayan.

The city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also assisted in the rescue and relief operations in the said province, and in Marikina City.
