Datu Anggal Midtimbang in Maguindanao del Sur prioritizes engaging marginalized community members, including women, solo parents, and persons with disabilities. To give them a platform to participate in municipal initiatives, Datu Anggal Midtimbang has organized members of these sectors into different organizations and strengthened sectoral organizations in the municipality such as KALIPI (women's sector), the Municipal Solo Parents Association, and the Municipal Association of Women with Disability. Despite implementing awareness programs and organizing sectoral organizations, Datu Anggal Midtimbang faces persistent challenges of human trafficking and violence. To address this, the municipality prioritizes safeguarding women, solo parents, and persons with disabilities by familiarizing them with their rights, providing economic opportunities, and access to basic social services. Livelihood projects, social service delivery, and data banking are put in place. While the municipality allocates funds for programs, they acknowledge that sustaining economic enterprises requires external partnerships and support, the necessity of capacity building, especially in business training and market linkages. Datu Anggal Midtimbang emphasizes the urgency of collaboration to ensure the well-being and economic sustainability of vulnerable community segments.
