Datu Hoffer, a relatively new municipality in Maguindanao del Sur, faced initial financial challenges due to a lack of Internal Revenue Allotment support. However, with the enactment of the Bangsamoro Organic Law, it has progressively expanded its resources and enhanced its offerings. Prioritizing the development of its youth sector through the Local Youth Development Office and Sangguniang Kabataan, Datu Hoffer addresses three priority development concerns: health, education, and gender development. It plans to combat malnutrition and ensure a stable supply of therapeutic commodities in the health sector. For education, it aims to boost community engagement in reading and literacy programs by actively involving parents and guardians through the youth to diminish the number of non-readers in elementary schools. In the realm of gender and development, Datu Hoffer seeks to establish sustainable livelihood opportunities for women and raise awareness about their basic rights. Datu Hoffer anticipates increased youth participation, improved education outcomes, and enhanced opportunities for women, seeking to institutionalize these changes through local policies while actively pursuing external partnerships to support its initiatives.
